Toxic soup is a hard hitting, soul splitting Rock group from the Vancouver, BC area. It is comprised of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Robert Ocean, backing vocals and lead guitar Mike Wood, and drums, bass, and backing vocals belonging to Mike Zelonis. Toxic has gone through a few bass players over the years but no one currently fills the position.
Their vast experience in the grunge era of alternative rock mixed with adrenaline infused force vocals of the 80's, creates an epically unique thunderous roar of hard rock. Ocean provides the melodic lyrics with screaming vocals accompanied by hypnotic guitar riffs will send you to that place where you lose yourself, and with the shrill of the rising vocals and into the anthem like chorus you will awaken anew. To be reborn again is to experience Toxic Soup.
Their live performances are second to none and demand perfection at every corner of their show. Truly magic with a bit of grunge, a bit of metal, and little bit of ooohhh Ya.
Toxic Soup found quick success in 2012 with the band only being together for 6 months. Through a local Radio Stations contest and the voting of thousands of listeners Toxic was awarded 2nd in BC, Canada and achieved band of the month status. But, as quick as their rise, so was their fall and within a few months of the success, disbanded indefinitely.
